Netted beadwork is traditionally used around objects and to decorate them. However I believed that this technique could be developed to create exciting hollow creations. So began a three year obsession which became known as my ‘empty net’ syndrome. There are no tricks, no special threads, just regular beading thread, seed beads and many hours of exploration.
The fascinating results are published as a book now available on CD. Through a series of projects, from the simple netted tube, the book shows all the steps towards creating hollow netted shapes of unusual beauty.
