Why I am
I love the calm that settles when there is no one but myself, a pile of beads and an idea to explore.
I love colour and texture, which is why those millions of tiny pieces of glass capture my attention. Inspiration comes from everywhere, a snippet of history, the sound of birdsong while I’m gardening, two colours that just have to dance together, or a story I want people to feel.
Developing a new design is a creative treasure hunt.

Beadwork is a medium which can be used to encompass and express complex concepts. Each beadwork technique is like a chinese puzzle, the more you explore it and understand it, the more versatile it becomes.
Most of all, beadwork is great fun!

I teach because that’s how skills stays alive, develop and moves forward. My students constantly amaze and energise me with their creativity and self expression.

I regularly publish my work in books, booklets and as worksheets and kits. All contain designs that I’ve created to enjoy myself, and have then taught as workshops.
